T9 – 9th Thoracic Vertebrae

We are getting closer to finishing our series on the Thoracic (mid back) region of the spine.   This next area between T9 & T11 start to integrate correlations with the adrenal glands and kidney regions.    Adrenal glands rest on the kidneys.   They are an integral organ in hormone, stress, and pain regulation.    T9 directly correlates to the adrenal and supra-renal glands.   Patients with imbalances in this area may experience more fatigue and a more difficult time coping with and managing reactions to stress as well as their weight.    Adrenal imbalances and issues with the T9 vertebrae can cause symptoms of allergies and hives.    A great book to read is “Adrenal Fatigue – the 21st Century Stress Syndrome” written by James L. Wilson, N.D., D.C., Ph.D.   When we complete our series on the viscero-somatic reflex, we will have more in dept discussions and blogs relating to adrenals and adrenal functions.  Please send your questions so we may prepare ahead a more comprehensive discussion that will address your specific concerns.
